Lord, protect those who are homeless, living in cars, by the riverbed, and those with mental health issues.

Lord, provide for those who are low income, without work, or living paycheck to paycheck.

Lord, please give me eyes to see those who are vulnerable, and compassion and empathy toward them. Show me how to serve and support them without patronizing or trying to rescue them.

Change my heart about the homeless. Help me not to shy away or avoid them. Help me see them and connect with them.

May we be light for the worldly, children, elderly, ailing, hopeless, abused, and the forgotten widows.

Lord, protect and shelter those victims of domestic violence; trapped and fearful for their lives.

Lord, encourage our immigrant communities, as those who feel like strangers, that they will know you in this foreign land.

Open our eyes to see those amongst us who are hurting.

Lord, break our hearts for what breaks your heart. Lord, help us to lower our walls to love others like you love us.

God, may we show love and compassion to the lost and vulnerable. Give us your eyes to see the harvest. Help us to see the harvest as plentiful. May we respond with Christ's love.
